Information about Our Area

On a typical day in the Ozarks you can do many things such as float the Buffalo National River (when the river is up), (click here for the river levels), hike the many trails here in Newton County, spelunking in our many caves, rock climbing on the bluffs and huge boulders, horseback riding, ATV riding on approved trails and much much more.

Visit some of our many beautiful natural features, such as: Lost Valley, Hawksbill Crag, Alum Cove, Sam’s Throne, Steel Creek, Richland Creek and Pedestal Rocks. There are many places to go and spend a day hiking.
